Robert Harter is a bassoonist in the Dallas-Fort worth area. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in music performance from Southern Methodist University, where he studies with the principal bassoonist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Ted Soluri. Robert also holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Miami, where he studied with Gabriel Beavers.
Robert maintains an active performing schedule and has played with the Sewanee Symphony Orchestra, Frost Symphony Orchestra, Meadows Symphony Orchestra, and Meadows Wind Ensemble. He also frequently appears in solo and chamber music settings.
As a teacher, Robert believes in providing his students with the tools, knowledge, and experience necessary to develop their musicianship to the highest level. He works with students throughout the DFW area and beyond, and works tirelessly to meet the unique needs of his students.
